What Is a Pneumatic Silencer?
A pneumatic silencer is a pneumatic component installed at an exhaust port to reduce the noise generated when compressed air is discharged.
When compressed air is released from the exhaust port of a solenoid valve, cylinder control circuit, or other pneumatic component, the sudden airflow may produce noticeable exhaust noise. A silencer helps reduce this exhaust noise as air passes through its silencing structure.
SHPI silencers are available in different materials and body types and can be selected according to the exhaust port thread, operating conditions, and actual installation requirements.
Pneumatic Silencer Specifications and Type Selection
Pneumatic silencer selection mainly depends on thread type, material, body type, filtration rating, and operating conditions.
The exhaust port thread should be confirmed first. Available materials, sizes, filtration ratings, maximum operating pressures, and operating temperatures vary by series, so individual product specifications should be checked before selection.
