Hybrid Air Hose

SHPI understands its clients needs

What Is a Hybrid Air Hose?

A hybrid air hose is a fiber-reinforced air supply hose commonly used for pneumatic tools and compressed air supply in various types of pneumatic equipment.

Compared with conventional rubber air hoses, Hybrid Air Hose is lighter in weight, easier to handle, and more convenient to coil and store. Through material formulation design, the hose maintains a certain level of flexibility in low-temperature environments, making it suitable for air supply applications that require frequent movement and repeated extension and retraction.

Hybrid Air Hose Construction Design

Hybrid Air Hose adopts a three-layer reinforced structure, where a fiber reinforcement layer is positioned between the inner and outer PVC layers. This construction allows the hose to maintain flexibility while providing the pressure resistance and structural stability required for compressed air systems.

Three-Layer Structure

  • Inner Layer: PVC Inner Tube
  • Middle Layer: Fiber Reinforcement Layer
  • Outer Layer: PVC Protective Layer

Hybrid Air Hose Material Characteristics

The performance of Hybrid Air Hose is determined primarily by the PVC formulation and reinforced construction. Common material characteristics include:

  • Low-Temperature Flexibility
  • Abrasion Resistance
  • Weather Resistance
  • Low Memory Effect

Typical Applications of Hybrid Air Hose

  • Air supply lines for pneumatic tools
  • Extension hoses for factory compressed air systems
  • Air supply lines for equipment maintenance or on-site operations
  • Outdoor or low-temperature working environments

Hybrid Air Hose Selection Guide

Supply Configuration

Hybrid Air Hose is available either as bulk hose without fittings or as a finished hose assembly with pre-installed fittings, depending on application requirements.

HB Series (Without Fittings)

Supplied as bulk hose, suitable for on-site cutting and fitting assembly.

HBA Series (Pre-Assembled Hose Assemblies)

Supplied with fittings assembled before shipment and ready for immediate installation.

Hose Diameter Selection

Different pneumatic tools require different air flow rates. Selecting an appropriate hose diameter helps reduce pressure drop and maintain equipment performance.

Flow Level Metric I.D. Inch I.D. Typical Applications
Standard Flow 6.5–8 mm 1/4"–5/16" DIY and small pneumatic tools
Medium Flow 10 mm 3/8" Automotive repair and medium pneumatic tools
High Flow 12.5 mm 1/2" Industrial equipment and large pneumatic tools
