M System FAQ
Q1: What is the difference between Two-Touch and One-Touch?
- Two-Touch: The traditional operation requiring the sleeve to be pulled back for insertion/extraction. Known for its stable structure and high durability in rugged industrial environments.
- One-Touch: Allows for effortless, one-handed connection. Ideal for high-frequency tool changes to maximize operational efficiency.
- (Note): This refers to the coupling mechanism and is distinct from "One-Touch/Push-in Fittings" used for tubing.
Q2: What does a larger Body Size signify?
- A larger Body Size corresponds to higher air flow capacity.
- Standard 1/4" Body is sufficient for most general industrial applications.
- For high-consumption tools or heavy machinery, 3/8" or 1/2" Body sizes are recommended to prevent pressure drops and ensure consistent performance.
Q3: Is it possible to customize the number of Locking Balls?
A: SHPI’s standard ball configuration is optimized through extensive testing for maximum reliability. For applications involving high-tension loads or specialized safety requirements, please contact the SHPI Team for evaluation and custom ball count options.
Q4: Are there alternative materials for the Plugs?
