Inch
Inch One-Touch Fittings Specification Overview
Inch one-touch fittings refer to push-in fittings used with pneumatic tubing in inch sizes.
Tube size is typically indicated by fractional inch dimensions.
For example, 1/4 indicates tubing with a 1/4 inch outside diameter.
Inch one-touch fittings are based on inch tube sizes, while metric one-touch fittings are based on mm tube sizes.
Even when the dimensions appear similar, inch tubing should not be used with metric fittings, and metric tubing should not be used with inch fittings.
Some sizes may still be inserted, but differences in outside diameter may affect gripping force, sealing performance, or assembly and removal.

Inch One-Touch Fittings Specification and Type Selection
Inch one-touch fittings are selected according to tube size, thread type, connection-end type, fitting shape, and compatible tubing.
The tube connection end should be confirmed according to the inch tube outside diameter.
If the fitting has a threaded end, the thread specification of the equipment, valve, or pneumatic component port should also be confirmed.
| Selection Criteria | Details |
|---|---|
| Tube size (inch) | Common sizes include 1/8, 5/32, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8, and 1/2 |
| Thread |
For fittings with threaded ends, select according to the equipment, valve, or pneumatic component port. Common options include UNF 10/32, NPT 1/8, NPT 1/4, NPT 3/8, and NPT 1/2 |
| Connection-end type | Tube-to-tube, tube-to-thread, bulkhead connection, reducer connection, or manifold type |
| Fitting shape | Straight, elbow, tee, Y type, cross union, swivel, bulkhead, manifold, plug, and reducer types |
| Compatible tubing | Inch PU tubing, nylon tubing, and other pneumatic tubing with compatible inch O.D. |
